He showed that exogenous FSH has a positive feedback on the release of endogenous FSH. That is the basic science behind the use of exogenous gonadotropins (Pergonal, Metrodin and others) for extra follicular development, in infertility management and IVF cycles. Currently his area of research is in embryo culture techniques and implantation failure.
He pioneered the IVF program in Nigeria in 1984 and his team successfully delivered the first test tube baby in Africa in 1986. He has over twenty five years in the management of difficult cases of infertility, twenty eight years experience in IVF and fifteen years experience with ICSI and new assisted reproduction technologies
He was appointed Consultant reproductive Endocrinologist to Lagos University Teaching Hospital in 1980 and Professor of Anatomy in 1983, making him the youngest appointed professor in Nigeria at the age of thirty two. He was reproductive Endocrinologist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Omaha in 1978.
He obtained a joint appointment with the departments of Anatomy and Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois at Chicago(UIC) at Professorial level. He established two IVF programs for the University in 1996 and became the pioneer director of the University based IVF program at Chicago in 1996. It is currently one of the best IVF centres in the US. He has established collaborations with several infertility centres internationally. Professor Ashiru obtained the licentiate of the American Board of Bioanalysis in High Complexity Laboratory Director HCLD (ABB) in 1997.(The American regulatory and licensing body for assisted reproduction technologies).

She is the coordinator for Continuing Professional Development/Continuing Medical Education Unit for Mart Group of Healthcare Services.
Dr. Kemi is the Founder and CEO of DIVAF, (www.divaf.org) an NGO enhancing access to Health and Education, Championing the Rights of Women and Children especially the “girl-child”.
She also founded KAFOWCHER INITIATIVE( Kemi Ailoje Foundation For Women and Children’s Health Education,Empowerment and Rights). An organization dedicated to advocacy, education and empowerment of women, youth and children especially the less privileged and disadvantaged.
She has partnered with and consulted for UNICEF, European Union Prime, ALCO-World Bank project, NACA and several other State, National and International agencies on Reproductive health and Sexuality Education (Protection and Participation Rights).
She pioneered and revitalized the anti HIV/AIDS clubs in the UNICEF child friendly schools in the South West Zone of Nigeria.
She won the National youth award for Leadership, Efficiency, Accountability and Professionalism (LEAP/NOKIA INTERNATIONAL 2006 AWARD) and other notable awards.
Dr Kemi joined the Medical Art Center team with the view of contributing to improve and enhance Assisted Reproductive Technology service as part of Health care delivery.
She is a post graduate student of reproductive medicine in the University of New South wales (UNSW) School of Women's and Children's Health, Sydney Australia.
Her area of interest is in Reproductive Medicine and Clinical Endocrinology.

She joined MART in 2008 and is enthusiastic about her future career in the ever evolving field of Assisted Reproductive Technology and Infertility Management.
She then joined the Medical Art Centre team in 2006 as the Clinical Coordinator. She belongs to the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. She is also a member of Association for Reproductive Medicine and attends their annual conferences in order to keep up with the current trends and treatments worldwide.
Abiola has acquired a wealth of experience in IVF coordination and triage between patients going through fertility treatment and recurring pregnancy loss over the last ten years. She is responsible for ensuring patient satisfaction always.
He started his professional experience in Assisted Reproductive Technology with Medical Art Center in 2004 where he is trained in andrology and embryology.
He went on a certificate course in Chrishna IVF Clinic, India in 2008 where he is trained in sperm and oocyte handling, micromanipulation for intracytoplasmic sperm injection, embryo culture, vitrification and thawing. He also went on a certificate course in Embryo Biopsy in University College, London in 2012.
He is one of the longest serving members of staff of Medical Art Center and he is happily married and blessed with children.
Ebele Iloabachie graduated from the University of Lagos where she obtained her undergraduate (B.Sc) degree in Cell Biology And Genetics (2010).
Iloabachie joined MART shortly after as an Embryologist Trainee and has gained clinical experience in Assisted Reproductive Technology.
Miss Iloabachie is a professional in the field of Andrology and Embryology and has been trained in Assisted Reproductive Techniques at The Embryology and Academic Research and Training centre (EART), Mumbai, India
